Museum of Kerala Arts and History provides an amazing amalgamation between contemporary art and history of Kerala. It is divided into four sections: Kerala history, art gallery, doll collection, and miniature art gallery. The 'history of Kerala' section has 38 life-size tableaux portraying the history of Kerala from the times of its early inhabitants to the modern era. The doll collection boasts of 150 handcrafted dolls that represent different communities of India. The miniature gallery features reproductions of Indian miniature arts from the latter half of the 16th century. Finally, the art gallery shows artworks by famous Indian modern artists such as Raja Ravi Varma, Jamini Roy, works of the Bengal school, Shantiniketan, the Calcutta group, Progressive group, and contemporary artists from the 1970s onwards.
