At Bangiya Sahitya Parishat, there are two galleries full of sculptures from the 11th to the 13th century. The museum houses several manuscripts from various parts of Bengal, and the personalia of some famous people associated with the Bengal renaissance, like Raja Ram Mohan Roy and Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. The museum has also preserved the local handicrafts of Bengal such as the 'Daker Saj' of the Durga idol and the contemporary terracotta figurines from Bankura and Birbhum. One of the highlights at the museum include granite sculptures of Surya, Vishnu and other local gods. This collection transcends time, as dates of the sculptures span from the 11th century, right upto the 21st century.
