Briefly describe the history of the museum, its collection and donors.

Sprawled over seven floors, the Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Cultures shows cultural artefacts of various tribes of the North East of India. The exhibits in this museum are divided into categories such as costumes, musical instruments, utensils, weapons, ornaments, housing styles, and languages. Recently, the museum has added a food gallery to provide authentically prepared recipes belonging to tribal groups to the visitors. The museum building provides a beautiful view of the city of Shillong.
