Briefly describe the history of the museum, its collection and donors.

Melody World Wax Museum, situated on the road to Chamundi Hill in Mysore, was established in 2010 by the artist Shreeji Bhaskaran. It houses around 300 musical instruments, said to be the largest collection in Karnataka. Nearly hundred life-size wax sculptures of predominantly musicians playing these instruments inhabit 19 galleries, each devoted to a genre of music such as Carnatic classical, jazz, and rock. Among the attractions at the museum is the wax statue of the late Maharaja of Mysore, Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, which was unveiled in 2014 and a statue of Mahatma Gandhi. Bhaskaran, the artist who makes the wax sculptures, is also the person who collects the musical instruments from all over the world. Located in a heritage building that is nearly 90 years old, the museum also houses an interesting collection of phones, tape recorders, and gramophones. Horror museum and Cartoon world, which share space here with the wax museum, are two other museums run by the artist.
