Briefly describe the history of the museum, its collection and donors.

The Royal, Heritage, Adivasi, Toran and Tridev Museum is located inside the Rajvant Palace in Rajpipla, Narmada District, Gujarat. The museum showcases the history of the Gohil Dynasty through its personal and ancestral collections. The artefacts on display reveal the historical interactions of erstwhile royalty on a national and international level.

The Rajvant Palace Museum has a collection of rare antiques, metalware, glassware, musical instruments and miscellaneous items. The tribal section of the museum displays items of daily use, different types of jewellery and ornaments, arms and weapons, and music items used by the tribal communities, as well as wall paintings depicting tribal art of the region.

The Royal Throne of Rajpipla, made of marble, rests on four lion stands; oil paintings of the ancestors on one side and all the decorative and ceremonial items used for the darbar (courtroom) stand on the other. The sections of outdoor hunting trophies and royal dresses exemplify the glory of the state.
